Liability:
- PC Support Plymouth cannot guarantee a satisfactory resolution to your IT problems if you (the customer) have illegitimate software installed on your computer. It is up to you (the customer) to make sure that your software is within the legal requirements e.g. software licence keys.
- We service Windows/Linux and Macintosh computers, our team of highly skilled individuals will do their upmost to guarantee you get honest advice and the right price to match for your needs.
- Although we do specialise in data recovery, it is the customer’s responsibility to make sure their data is backed up on their hard disk drive, or to let us know that they wish to keep their data before we commence working on a hard disk. An example of this is that a hard disk needs a software recovery, but the customer hasn’t backed up their data, by notifying us that you would like your data backed up before we perform a recovery we will happily do this for you, however a small fee will be applicable for this. PC Support Plymouth is not held responsible for any data that is lost on a software recovery that is performed without the customer notifying us that they wish to keep their data.
- Payment is dependent on satisfactory completion of the work that we (PC Support Plymouth) have been assigned and have completed for you unless this is otherwise agreed between us and you (The Customer).
- In terms of where physical damage/accidental damage has been inflicted by you (The Customer) or (Freak of Nature) e.g. PC/Laptop has been dropped down a flight of stairs, power surges, and flooding, we will do our best to diagnose the problems that you are facing and fix these. However there will be times where we (PC Support Plymouth) will not be able to perform miracles, we always pride ourselves on giving good honest advice to you (The Customer) and that you shall receive, however we will not be held liable if a component/PC/Laptop/Router etc has been given to us damaged and beyond repair. Further more in terms of data recovery, if a componant has been damaged, and you have not notified us, then we will not be held responsible, as causing this damage has been inflicted by you.
No Fix No Fee Policy:
PC Support Plymouth operates a No Fix – No Fee policy, there are however some restrictions to this:
- This policy applies when we (PC Support Plymouth) do not possess the correct technical knowledge to fix your IT related matter. You will be charged for nothing if this occurs.
- If PC Support Plymouth is able to rectify the problem, or diagnose the issue that you (The Customer) is facing and we are asked not to carry out the work by you, then you will be charged our service fee of £25 or the time spent working for you.
- If we can rectify the problem and we are stopped by reasons beyond our control, for example illegitimate software licensing, then you (The Customer) will be charged our service fee of £25 or the time spent working for you. For example, the No Fix – No Fee policy will not apply because we have diagnosed the fault/problem for you but are unable to proceed because of this.
